House of Yin

In these hyper-heated, separating, and violent social and political times, an urgent call for balance compels us to draw down, slow down, rest, and focus on the expansiveness of our relationships in all forms.  The House of Yin responds to this global call as a liberatory community-learning home, centering and valorizing Yin practices, structures, and ecological medicines, and those apothecaries across the world  (reflective Yin practitioners) who embody them.

Queerness as language, map & medicine

Queerness as Language, Map and Medicine is a program of engagements that explores queer and trans perspectives of nonbinary interconnectedness and how they interact with other relational ways of knowing. The project invites artists, wisdom tenders, writers, researchers, educators and stewards of land and land justice projects to consider the roles that diverse forms of queerness and transness play in spiritual, ecological, political and intimate practice. It reflects on how knowledge traditions, relationships with land and social positionalities shape our understandings of queer and trans wisdoms, and studies how, as apothecaries, we can bring these learnings into our own places of practice.

Translanding

Translanding is an ecology of moving parts: a research inquiry, a survival strategy, a collective body, a field, a prayer. It grew out of conversations among queer and trans people who – across years, territories, ancestries and positionalities – have been exploring how to unlearn colonial habits of separation together while living in a distributed web of bioregions, ecosystems, political histories and cultural worlds.
